Fast weight loss, is it safe?
We all know that today markets are flooded with quick weight loss products. These products make big claims. A big percentage of these products actually make false claims and they are not able to do what they say. Many products say that they can make you lose 60lbs in one month but trust me they can’t. But there are some products in the market that can really cause fast weight loss, you heard right! There are some products that can make you lose weight fast in a very short period of time. But are you sure that losing a large amount of fat so fast will be good for your health? I think it will not be safe and it will not be healthy. Let me tell you why.
Our body is a very complicated machine which is controlled and run by our brain. Body uses food and fat as fuel to function. When we try to lose weight intentionally either through diet or workout what happens is that we spend our energy and our body burns fat to generate more energy. But when we start losing fat very fast then we start spending our energy at a very fast pace due to which our energy levels drop very fast and this sends signal to the brain that consumption of energy is much faster than its production. Due to this situation brain switches to crisis state i.e. it starts storing fat to cope with the energy drop, and instead of burning fat it starts burning the reserved resources of water, calcium and muscle. Water and calcium are heavier than fat. When body burns them you see a major drop in you weight very fast and you think you are burning fat but actually you are consuming your energy resources and after few days when the resources are over, the weight loss stops and you start feeling weak and your efficiency decreases significantly which can lead to low immunity, fatigue etc. the weight lost like this is not permanent either.
I think you got my point that if you want to lose weight permanently, lose it slowly. It will be both safe and healthy for you.
